Winemaker Rob Lloyd's first dedicated vintage lends a skillful and fresh interpretation to Jessup's flagship blend. While dominated on the nose by high-toned, bright red raspberry, pink plum, and deep garrigue-laced complexity, the structure of firm tannins and a seemingly endless evolution of fruit on the palate leads from lovely cranberry to lush and brooding black cherry. Pairs brilliantly with delicate game, seafood and roast chicken now, but may be aged for five to seven years for pairing with rich roasts, juicy steaks and earthy mushroom dishes.
