Sensory Notes

Flavors of blackberry and pomegranate juice are enlivened by white pepper, tamarind, nutmeg and cedar aromatics. Hearty damson plum, dark berries and white tea mingle with mocha and notes of leather and stone. Dark and luscious (almost opaque), the 2008 Yolo County Petite Sirah is smooth and inviting now, but has the structure to benefit from 3 - 5 years of cellar age. Try this Petite with barbequed ribs or chicken, brick oven pizza or any hearty, spicy, summer dish.
