The 2012 Juel is a deep, opaque ruby – regal and inviting. Aromas of bramble berries, black currant, licorice and red vine give way to a stunningly structured palate. Bright acidity and soft, but present tannin frame a complexity of fruit that suggests a wine that will cellar brilliantly or impress right away. The use of fine French oak is subtly present in the richness of the wine’s body and along its considerably lengthy finish. Drink now with a two hour decant or age for five to seven years.
