In yet another ‘nearly perfect’ vintage in the Napa Valley, harvesting Pinot Noir from the Truchard Vineyard of Carneros was a privilege and delight. Everything one could want in a California Pinot Noir can be found in this glass, from sweet spice and cherry to roasted plum and leather. Exotic spices are met by bright fruit and lively acidity and framed with soft tannins. This wine is so intriguing on its own, yet lends itself any number of savory dishes. Experiment with wild mushrooms, duck, pork, goat cheese, roasted vegetables and a variety of salads.
